Tattoo advice

Hey guys. I’m a 26 year old, married, mother of two. I currently have a small cross (looks as if it was drawn by a pen) tattoo on my ankle. I also have a small tattoo on my wrist that reads “be still”. My husband has our last name, Bright, across his shoulders...like from shoulder to shoulder.

I recently decided I wanted another tattoo. Nothing big.. just dainty. I struggle with depression and struggled with a suicidal action a couple of months back (yes, I sought help). I decided I wanted a small arrow tattoo, with a semi colon in the middle that symbolize mental health awareness. Very small, down the back of my wrist, MAYBE 2-3 inches tall.

My husband, when I informed him about it, said that I didn’t need one and to him, women with a lot of tattoos are not flattering. So, I took that personally and thought if I got it, he wouldn’t find me attractive. He said if I got this one, I’d want more and more.

I just.. I feel like he is scared of me changing. I am a natural brunette, and got my hair blonde today.. he didn’t like it. I want another piercing in my ear.. he doesn’t think it’s necessary.

I’m just, FOR ONCE, feeling mentally stronger. More free, more confident, and more ME, but my hubby doesn’t like “me”, I guess.

I love my man to death, and I want to respect his opinion. What would you guys do?
