Warnings about luvs diapers

Disclaimer: yes I specifically asked SIL if I could post these to share info about luvs diapers. So when the twins were born i told my SIL that to be weary of the luvs diapers because they cause allergic reactions in a lot of kids. Some kids do fine, some kids are very allergic and some kids will just develop an allergy to them. I learned that in daycare. It’s actually a very common thing where a baby breaks out like this in luvs diapers. They were doing perfectly fine and now they’re almost 4 months old and one of the twins legs broke out like this on both sides. Literally overnight. This wasn’t on her the day before yesterday.

She doesn’t have a bottom rash, it is just on the outside of her thighs on both legs .

Her twin sister didnt have a rash like this and diapers aren’t cheap so SIL said she was just gonna watch. (Even identical twins can be a little genetically different. One of them is blonde and the other is brunette so there was a chance she would be fine) Last night I baby sat and caught her breaking out on one of her legs on the same spot so I took the diaper off so her twin just has a tiny rash when it looks like she (baby in pic) has carpet burn.

They are literally never on carpet, I live with them and see them everyday and change their diapers everyday. I still just cannot believe how fast it caused that severe of a reaction like how does something like that appear so fast. And this is after it started looking better because we put her in a different brand.

So here’s just this PSA, if you’re using LUVS diapers watch out for this because even if they’re doing fine wearing them they can develop an allergy. We’ve just been doctoring her little legs, and it hurts her. I don’t want this to happen to any other babies
