Anyone here have a prosthetic limb?
I want an inside perspective. I just got a job in prosthetics. I’m an artist and I help create the actual form for realistic looking limbs. I also work directly with patients to help get the fit right. Some patients are pretty emotional through the process as could be expected, or simply self conscious when the injured limb is exposed. I want the perspective of someone who has been there. Is there anything someone could say or do to make you feel more comfortable in that moment?
