Cloth diapers ????....

Question

Anyone have experience with cloth diapering? I’m trying to decide if the money saved is worth the extra work... seems very intimidating. Thought of maybe doing a mix? Cloth in the home disposable when we are out and traveling

Love this brand! But honestly its all about routine.  It was hard in the beginning but now its normal.  Been doing it for 10 months.  I bought 24 covers and had 36 inserts.  You go through more inserts than covers.  Make sure to have something thicker for nights

Best bottom diapers are nice. The inserts snap into the shell and they’re so easy to clean. We liked cloth diapers from around 3 months to 11 months, but after that my son peed too much that cloth wasn’t practical anymore. They definitely save money, but I haven’t found any cloth diapers to be as absorbent as disposable diapers unless you bulk up on the inserts.

Just so you know, when you post in the product recommendation forum, people trying to comment HAVE to find an item link to "recommend" in order to respond at all. It's a pain in the butt haha.
So this is not a recommendation for these, I just picked a random listing off Amazon.
I am due in October and decided I wanted to do cloth. It is crazy intimidating at first but it does not have to "all or nothing" you can do cloth and disposables as you're comfortable.
I would love to talk to you more about it and send you the names of some Facebook groups I'm in that have really helped me. Feel free to send me a message on here!

I just posted a poll on this topic in the First Time Moms community forum. From what I can gather people will use the cloth with service or disposable for the first few weeks up to a month or two then switch to diapers with inserts. 
A friend recommended having a "wet bag" and several inserts so you only do the laundry once every other day. Laundry increases anyway with a little one. And air dry them, they will dry quickly.

We use a majority of mama koalas because they are cheap and easy to get off of Amazon. My favorite place to get information on cloth diapers is jays nest on YouTube. If you need wash help id recommend nerdy mommas cloth diaper and natural parenting group on Facebook or nerdymommas.com anna makes nerdy diapers if you're into that but she also is super helpful on washing. We've been using cloth for almost 2 years now and love it we only had a problem when we were using to much detergent. A lot of people will recommend fluff love university but they only gave me problems. If you have more questions I'd be happy to answer or direct you to somewhere that can.
