Choosing a LAST name for our baby {READ}

My boyfriend and I are expecting our first child, but both have very unfortunate last names, and we have been made fun of our whole lives for them.

I really don't want our child to have both of our last names because I know how cruel children can be, and that he/she will probably not like it if we gave him/her such unfortunate last names.

My boyfriend doesnt mind what i do with the first or last name, so the final choice is mine.

It is legal where we live to choose a new last name, any of our choice -

should we give the baby unfortunate last names, so that the baby has half of my last name and half of his, so we don't offend family members, or choose a better last name so they don't get made fun of?
