COVID-19 antibody test and IVF
We are starting our IVF cycle and I go for my baseline appointment this week. My nurse told me that they will also be drawing blood for the SARS-CoV 2 antibody test. With either outcome (+ or -), what does that mean for our upcoming cycle? Is there a potential it could be reschedule past of the blood results?
I know that with Rubella if you have an antibody test that comes back less than 1.0 they consider you negative for having antibodies and have to get a vaccine. Of course I had to do that too even though I was vaccinated as a kid because mine came back as 0.93 🤦🏻♀️ My question is since we don’t have an official vaccine for the coronavirus, how will this effect my IVF cycle if it comes back positive or negative?
