Is stopping progesterone and oil safe?

Question

I’ll be 10 weeks on July 10th. My Dr assured me it’s safe to stop but I’m still worried. Looking from reassurance from other ladies.

I havent started my ivf cycle yet but my dr told me I'd be on pio until they tell me to stop usually 10 to 12 weeks

I was worried to stop mine too. My Dr told me to stop at 10 weeks and I told her I was worried so she said okay go to 12 but it won't really change anything. Bottom line - if the placenta isn't ready to take over by about 9 weeks then there is something wrong and it's not a viable pregnancy. There's nothing you can do anyway. If he placenta is functioning the way it needs to in order to get a full term baby then you can stop!

I was soooooo scared too. But I trusted my doctor and stopped (if I remember correctly at 9w1d) and now I'm stuck on the couch cuz the only way my 6 month old will sleep is on top of me... so I would say he was right. Lol

I would just like to add...I had low progesterone with my first transfer success and was PIO at heavy doses. When it came to 12 weeks they assured me that all was fine to stop. I started spotting a couple days later called my clinic and they said that it was possible it was from a small drop and it would be fine...I then took myself into my local clinic and had them test and it had dropped to a 5. We did have to go back on and possibly stay on the whole pregnancy. Unfortunately we lost our baby at 16 weeks. So if you do happen to notice changes after stopping please go get checked.

I stopped at 10weeks and was very nervous but went with my docs orders and had a little brown spotting on day 3 after but nothing since then. I have really enjoyed not doing them anymore! Good luck!

I was terrified to stop but my doctor swore I was fine and we are now 31 weeks. Trust your doctor, it’s gonna be alright.
