Anyone else realize COVID is lowkey perfect for those of us with social anxiety?
1) Staying home in general, is encouraged, so avoiding people as much as possible
2) But if you DO have to go out, #SocialDistancing - you don’t have to get close to anyone, and there are virtually zero crowds anywhere
3) Masks: they hide blushing entirely (blushing/sweating are physical symptoms of social anxiety)
4) If you do still get any kind of pressure to socialize, you have the perfect excuse to decline: you’re too afraid of getting sick
You basically get to hide from, or avoid everyone and everything, and for the first time ever (in your whole life probably), have a little bit of a currently “socially acceptable” reprieve from this constant exhausting, and emotionally painful, disorder
