Well I WAS on medication for it from my doctor. I had to take 3 pills ( diflucan) because the first 2 rounds didn’t work.

It was like the mother of all yeast infections caused by antibiotics. It was in my vagina, outside my vagina and moved down to my

Butt. Of course the outside started to clear up first but the actual vagina is warm and wet so it’s perfect for a fungal infection. I was still having so much itching and burning and I had the yeast infection for so long that the inside of my vagina just felt raw. Then I got my period, I was like oh my god. I have too much going on down there wth can I catch a break? My period was a week early and of course only using pads because the Inside of my vagina was pissed and as strange as this sounds it felt like the period blood was soothing the inside of my vagina that had just been through hell for over a week and a half or maybe more I can’t remember all I know is that I’ve been dealing with this I had to take 3 pills for it when 1 usually does the job.

Day 2 on my period and it doesn’t burn to pee anymore. I have zero symptoms. So I looked it up.

My period killed off the remaining yeast infection. I still have a remaining diflucan but I don’t think I need to take it. Took the last one 2 days ago. I think that’s pretty cool though, how my body kinda just helped itself. My period also came a week early like alright let’s get this done.

Diflucan is just prescribed as one pill.

You’re given another if the symptoms don’t get better in 3 days. I was given 2 more. If it didn’t clear up then he was going to use a different approach. I would only have to take that last one if I was still having symptoms and I’m not.

But diflucan is an antifungal, not an antibiotic.

Antibiotics are what caused my yeast infection because it killed off all the good bacteria in my vagina and my gut which is another story.
