What toy box do you have for your child(ren)?

We haven’t bought him a single toy yet my in laws seem to get him something new each week. Now, our toy collection is getting out of control. I was using two small wooden crates just because they matched the decor in his room but those have now overflowed into an additional three decorative baskets. Does anyone use a cube organizer? Or do you just have an actual toy box? Anyone with a separate “playroom”? I would honestly rather get rid of things than store them but my husband wants to keep EVERYTHING😭

We bought the Trofast from Ikea and turned out closet under the stairs into a toy nook!

We have a very small house. His toy area is in our living room. We found these soft upholstered footstools with storage inside from container store.  They come in different colors, shapes and sizes. Work well as a toy bin and also spare seating for our living room. Our boy also loves to slide them around, climb on them and climb into them too.

Secondly my husband hated how much we had (especially because our son loves to take it all out each day!). So we do a toy rotation every 3/4weeks or so. We have a bin in the attic with about half or his toys. And we switch things out regularly.

I unfortunately have no solutions for you, as we are in the same boat, so I’m just here to commiserate! Other than a couple outside toys we haven’t bought anything for our son and we asked our families to exercise restraint in buying him things too, which I think they have tried, but we are swimming in toys somehow! I really appreciate their generosity, and now that we’ll have a second in 4 months I’m sure they’ll get good use, but it all seems a bit excessive to me! I plan to start the tradition of donating things around his birthday and Christmas this year to hopefully help during the times when we seem to get the most! But for now we have baskets and little boxes all over too!

I would get rid of some too. We've thrown as much as possible towards my SIL and yet we have more than we need. Considering selling some 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have a toy chest and a storage cube organizer, I also have a bin in our living room. But our son has SO MANY TOYS! I actually started a toy rotation and he enjoys them so much more now that he’s not overwhelmed with 50000 things laying around all the time.
