How many CM dilated where you at 38 weeks??

CM dilated where you at 38 weeks??" /> 
I’m a FTM and my dr wants to induce me at 39 weeks as long as cervix is favorable! Last appointment at 36 weeks my cervix was still 3cm LONG😱 I’m trying to do everything I can to help her drop and make my cervix favorable. But any advice??

Raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil capsules (at least 1000mg) inserted vaginally at bedtime. I did this for 2 weeks (starting at 36 weeks) and went into labor spontaneously at 37+4. Pushed for 14 minutes. 5 hour labor.

My cervix was still completely closed and long at 38 weeks with both my pregnancies.

At my 38 wk appointment I was 1cm dilated (but not all the way through). Now at my 39 week appointment I’m “not dilated at all” !! 🤔😭 
If I haven’t given labor by 40 weeks my doctor will schedule my induction 🙏 
It’ll be nice to have a scheduled day that way my husband and I can prep (we are planners).

Was 3cm dilated at 38 weeks. Went into spontaneous labor at 38+ 4 and delivered her 3 hours later.

Why are they trying to induce you at 39 weeks? Why not wait it out and let your body do it’s thing naturally?
