Anyone live in Montana or Idaho?

Hello, my family and I currently live in the California (Bay Area) and thinking of moving somewhere more affordable. Ive been reaearching Boise Idaho seems great and wayyyy more affordable. My husband is trying to sell me on Montana specifically Great Falls and Missoula. Anyone live in any of these cities and can give me pros and cons? We are in our early 30’s with young children 😊

I’m in Boise... 34 with 1 7 yr old and TTC #2.... it’s nice here but getting over crowded and construction non stop 😩

I live in Rexburg Idaho, about 30 minutes North of Idaho Falls, and we love it here. I grew up in Portland Oregon and my husband grew up moving a lot (California, Colorado, and Alaska). We love how safe it is and the people are pretty nice. I haven't loved in Boise but I always hear that Meridian is a really good place to live

I’m from Seattle and just moved a couple months ago to Idaho Falls, ID and actually it’s really nice. Huge properties for cheap SUPER safe and everyone is very homely! Only downside is coming from a bigger city no where in Idaho or Montana will even compare to the Bay Area so just get ready for that change!

Have you ever visited either? I would suggest doing that first in the winter. .I am from out west and we have seen a huge influx of people moving here to escape what ever. Its a bit different here definitely not as liberal and the winter can get wild.
