Potty training
I know all kids are different, and my son I realized early on probably wasn’t going to be one of the first kids potty trained. And I’m fine with that. But of course everyone has their opinions on it. And it’s really been bad lately. The problem is he’s TERRIFIED of the toilet. Big small, doesn’t matter. He doesn’t want his diaper off, and he won’t sit on them. We finally bribed him with M&m to just sit on it, full clothed a few months ago. And add in COVID, he doesn’t get to see other kids his age using the potty. Well last week he saw his cousin going potty outside! He’s three months younger than my guy, and it was enough for him to take interest! Then the day after he didn’t want a diaper on after playing outside in the water, and after a bit he said I need a diaper, and I said let’s go outside and pee like O (his cousin) AND HE DID! We live on a farm, so peeing outside isn’t the worst. So after that I got him to wear underwear, and He now refuses diapers except for at night. Its taken 2 days, but he’ll tell me he needs to go outside to go potty! He’s done 5 pees and 1 poop today. Given he’s peeing in his undies, but we’re getting there. I’m like on cloud 9, but everyone keeps shitting on my parade. Idk, I just need some positive reinforcement. He’s come so far in a few days, I feel like we’ll get the hang of pulling down underwear and using the toilet in no time🤷🏼♀️
