Is a Pack ‘n’ play safe for sleep?

Question

My son is outgrowing his bassinet, but we are not ready to move him to his crib in his nursery yet. Is it safe to let him sleep every night in a pack n play? 
If so, what pack n play do you recommend? 
If it’s not safe, what’s another sleeping option?

Yes, it's safe. We used our Graco pack n play for 9 months with my son and plan to use it for our daughter when she outgrows her bassinet.

Pack n’ plays are fine for babies to sleep in. I had my first two in the pack n’ play for their first two months. I ended up getting a fitted 3” mattress (they’re made for pack n’ plays) to go in there and they slept great! I also found that since the mattress was similar to a crib mattress in comfort and feel, the transition to crib was very smooth. Just a thought!

Yes, I just switched my daughter to a graco pack and play bc she was getting to long for her bassinet. She is 12 weeks old and I plan for her to sleep in it for a few weeks before I duly transition her to her crib. She loves it!
