Would you give up your want to have children to please your spouse?

Say you discussed children before marriage and agreed on everything then later on in your marriage your spouse changes their mind or becomes uncertain of wanting children. Would you agree to go along with what he wants or would you still want to go with y’all original plan?

I personally wouldn’t. I have been with my SO for 4 years now and I have made sure to make it 100% clear to him that I want to be a mom some day. I wouldn’t be able to give up that part of my life, as I know I would always regret it.

I would leave my husband over it. I made it very clear having children was very important to me and a deal breaker if he wasn’t on board and I told him this very early in our relationship. If he changed his mind on me I’d leave him. That’s too big of a thing in life to give up in my opinion. I’d never force a child on someone who doesn’t want one, but I won’t stay with a man who doesn’t want children.

When I married my husband I wondered how I could love another human more than him. Then I had my daughter. She is an absolute blessing and we both can’t imagine life before her. If you have a desire to have children and he’s changed his mind, I would feel that’s unfair to you. Not everyone wants them and that’s okay, but if it was previously discussed and now he has changed his mind, you may want to sit down and think if this relationship is for you. Best of luck! ❤️

Personally I don’t want kids but if I were to have any it would have to be through adoption. I wouldn’t try to give up what I want for someone else so I wouldn’t want them doing the same for me

So I would not change my mind for him but if hes unsure that no 100 person no either but I couldnt give up wanting children to be with my husband as much as it suck leaving him.
