Roseola?

Question

Has anyone’s baby had this before? If so, when did he/she get better? No idea how my baby got it, we’ve been practicing social distance and haven’t been around any other little kids. He’s moved on from the fever phase and now has the rash, doctor said we just have to let it run its course. However, he’s been SOOOO fussy and I can’t take it much longer! I don’t know if he’s fussy because he’s uncomfortable due to the roseola or if it’s because he’s starting the terrible twos early. Please advise, thank you!!

Same happened to us a few weeks ago and I was baffled since we haven't been around anyone either. So weird. His was pretty mild...only reached 101 fever once, but was irritable and not sleeping well. Rash phase didn't seem to bother him at all, but still irritable and low appetite. I just gave Motrin twice a day and food that he really loves. He was behaving normally within 1 week of fever onset, but doctor said the rash alone could last up to 10 days. Mine is also getting more teeth, so not sure which symptoms were due to roseola and which were from teething....

My daughter had this a couple weeks ago after a trip to the doctor for a wellness (15 month) checkup. It lasted about a week from start to end and ended with her getting a rash pretty much all over but worse in trunk and face. She was super fussy and had a pretty good fever for about 4 days then the rash came once fever broke. Baby Motrin helped A LOT with the fussiness and the fever.

Mine got it last month. He was pretty much screaming the whole time he had fever. He didn’t want any solids he will only drink milk. After rash, he was back to normal. Total six days.

Mine had it just before his first birthday he was soooo fussy and clingy for 4 days til his fever broke, when he got the rash it was like he instantly felt better. It lasted about a day and a half. He had never felt that bad before it was awful! Your LO should be about at the end of it though! Good luck ❤️

My daughter caught it last week as well and it was a tough week. Fever from Wednesday through Saturday, I was so worried. She also had some sores in her mouth and the pediatrician thought at first she had caught herpes at daycare. On Sunday the rash started and she got the right diagnosis. Since then she is improving but is still exhausted from not sleeping or eating for so long. Between lunch on Friday and dinner on Monday she only drank a bit of milk here and there. I’m still confused as to what the sores in her mouth were. One doctor told us it was from the Roseola but the other one is not convinced. I hope your little one feels better soon. Although it’s a common childhood disease that goes away on its own, it’s still tough on our little ones.

Mine just recovered from this last week! Out of nowhere she got a fever. Not too high, maybe 101 at the highest. I thought she was teething or something so I gave Tylenol every 6 hours. But the fever lasted 2 days. Then once the fever broke she got covered in the roseola rash. It scared me so I took her to the pediatrician who diagnosed her. There’s no medicine to take for it since it’s a viral infection. Apparently the rash isn’t itchy or painful, just looks bad. In about 4-5 days the rash completely disappeared and now my LO is looking completely normal.
