Only one working ovary...

Arianna

I am 21 years old, my partner and I are definitely not at an ideal weight, but we have a good life. So we have been trying to conceive. It’s been about 8 months now. My gyno did the pcos work up, blood tests and ultrasound. My DHEA-3 was elevated but my testosterone and everything else looked fine. Then we got the ultrasound. It took a few months to get the appointment due to COVID. But I was hopeful after my blood work. I do not have PCOS. But my left ovary is 1.5x1x1 cm. My right ovary is totally normal. Like 3.6 by something or other. But completely normal. So one ovary is under developed and does not ovulate.... everyone I have talked to is just being positive and supportive which is great and wonderful. But even my fiancé isn’t grieving this loss with me. I do see this as a loss. Logically I will only ovulate every other month. What does this mean for my chances? A lot. That is a huge blow. A huge loss to me. I just want someone to say they are sorry and give me a hug. Not just tell me “you’ll just have to try harder” when they haven’t seen all my negative results and my tears and my prayers that this month will be the month.
