Late ovulation affects implantation?

I didn’t ovulate until CD 22 this month, last month was 16, I usually have a 29-31 day cycle, never more. Will this push my period back? Usually I’d get my period tomorrow but am only 8 DPO today. Will this just push my period back or will it come like normal and not allow for implantation?

Your period will shift. You only start your period if there's no implantation. It all revolves around your ovulation.

I’m in the same boat! I normally ovulate CD 17 and I didn’t until CD 22. My period was due yesterday and hasn’t came yet so I’m assuming it was pushed back. I’m 10 DPO today and all tests are negative. I also ovulated late last month but my period came on time.
