Anybody know anything about Vitex Berry?

Ok so long story short, I have been struggling with acne for the past year or so. I have tried everything that I can think of to remedy this... my boss noticed that I was struggling with it and suggested it could be hormonal and gave me some organic vitex berry to try and see if that helps... it’s not prescription or anything, but I’m always leery of taking anything. Well right on the bottle it says “Helps regulate your cycle”. I’m not irregular. Like AF comes for her visit every 26-28 days. Very regular... I am kinda stuck because a)I want this acne gone but b) I don’t want to do anything that could potentially cause issues with my cycle and c) I know my boss will ask how it’s going... any info would be so appreciated.

P.S. I’m a dental hygienist, so with all the COVID PPE’s I have been sweating from 8-5 under several layers of masks and clothing. That can’t be helping my cause with the acne. 😕
