Ok so I just need to vent so bear with me.

This past holiday weekend me and hubby and our 5 month old were headed out of town for the weekend so we asked MIL to watch our puppy for us. As we were headed there to drop the puppy off hubby suggested we leave baby boy with his mom so we could run to the store and get dog food and some other items we needed before hitting the road. I completely understand why he suggested it due to us of course running late as it was and if we could run in and out it would be easier. Now I felt a little uneasy about this due to the fact LO has only ever been away from me for about 2 hours with my mom and on top of that his mom is a bit scatter brained (she literally burns boiling water because she forgets) but to appease my husband I agreed. When we left her house she said she was waiting on some tenants to come sign a lease but that she would let them know when to come so I assumed it would be after we came back from the store. She also told us she would watch the baby if we got like 6 cases of beer for her dad thats a alcoholic so she doesn't have to go to the store so of course my husband said thats fine but that made the trip to the store longer. We get back to her house maybe 1 hour later and when we pull up we see a truck and im like shoot her tenants are here. well as I walk in quietly not to disturb her meeting with them I notice this random ass woman holding my baby WITHOUT A MASK ON!!! So I am livid at this point because why would she let this stranger hold my 5 month old during a PANDEMIC? Mind you she wouldn't allow us to visit her until recently because she was so afraid of catching covid.

Sorry for the long post but I just want to make sure I'm not overreacting. Plus my baby hasn't even got his immunizations yet due to the doctors office being closed.
