Do you like being friends with your neighbours as in visiting/talking to each other or do you want to be left alone?

I like to be left alone. I’ll always say hi to my neighbours and smile at them, but no more than that. I want my privacy, don’t want anyone to bother me with stuff like “hey naighbour can you help me with this” or visit me, anything like that. It seems like that’s how my neighbours are anyway which I appreciate, but I know some people love their neighbours and are friends with them. What about you?

I can’t stand any of my neighbors. We live in an HOA so everyone just complains about everything. They’re all a bunch of old farts with nothing better to do though.

My husband talks to all our neighbours a lot. Like, knows their whole life story from standing up chatting over the fence or in the driveway. Lol but we never really get to the point of hanging out. Maybe because our neighbours are all older than us. I would like it if we had a couple of similar age to have a few drinks with or let our kids play together.

We’ve started to get a lot closer with our neighbors and it’s absolutely amazing. All our kids run around and play with each other and every once in a while on weekends we’ll have a grill out together in someone’s yard. But I do think it’s important to establish boundaries since we live right next to each other and we could easily get on each others nerves and by not giving enough space. The kids will play all week but the adults usually stay inside during the week and we socialize mainly on the weekends

We know pretty much all of our neighbors. We all look out for each other. I’m close friends with one of our neighbors. We make it a point to try to get to know them. Most everyone in our neighborhood knows us.

I’m not an outgoing person but i always smile and wave. My first house the neighbors were close to our age and it was nice to be friendly with them. But the last two houses we lived at Everyone around us has been much older than us. So we stay to ourselves lol.

I'm not friendly with any of my neighbours. We used to be friendly with the people right next door but they moved.
The people across the road speed terribly, play music so loud it makes the whole house shake on Sunday mornings (early, like 08:00).
The people next door to us on the other side are the kind that leave their dogs to bark and bark and bark and bark non stop, even when they're there. They don't greet us when we greet them so whatever.
The other people across the road are OK, we exchange waves.
The people in the other side pretty much mind their own business like we do, but they also don't greet us too often. Their alarm goes off terribly though- multiple times a day at all hours of the day/ night and we've never received an apology for the constant disruptions to our sleep for us (it literally went off every three minutes the one night, for about an hour in the dead of night. If it were me I'd have popped a note in their gate to say sorry).

We prefer our privacy and to be left alone. My husband has 2 coworkers that live on our street, and 1 who lives a couple streets over in the same neighborhood. That's more than enough of knowing our neighbors to us 🤷🏼‍♀️

Don’t care how nice they are, just leave me alone lol. I let my neighbour’s little girl to play with my dog once, now I can’t get rid of them. So fucking annoying
