I am posting this in reply to a previous comment, but I want to post it so everyone can see it. 
We have evolved to cosleep with our offspring, as other mammals also do. It is a completely natural thing, for obvious reasons.
There are parents that do not have their baby in their room with them (from the start or after some months), which also carries an increased risk for SIDS. If you actually look at research  (not just the statement that bedsharing increases risk of SIDS), it is more the factors involved in bedsharing than the actual practice itself which can carry a risk. 
For example, our ancestors did not have big blankets and fluffy pillows. Even so, safe bed sharing increases risk by only .004%. Most people do not consider this a significant enough risk to avoid doing other things in life. You have a higher chance of getting struck by lightening.
Saying bedsharing is unsafe and people shouldn’t do it is like preaching abstinence as the only option for safe sex. People are going to do it anyway and if you don’t give them guidance as to how to do it safely, accidents will happen. 
With that said, here are some guidelines for safe bedshairing. 
Only a breastfeeding mother should sleep with the baby- no other adult (formula fed babies are at higher risk)
The mother or other adult must not use drugs, alcohol, or smoke
Do not bed share when overtired
Babies who are premature/underweight should not bed share 
No sleeping with baby on sofa, recliner, chair, waterbed
No toddlers or other children in the bed
No heavy/fluffy blankets, bedding, mattress topper, or excessive pillows
Baby should be dressed accordingly since they will be warmer sleeping with mom (no swaddling)
Keep cords/strings away from baby
Cover cracks with rolled towels (so baby cannot rollinto cracks and get stuck. 
If you bed share, do it safely. It CAN be safe. If bed sharing isn’t for you that’s perfectly fine, but it is important that we share how to do it safely instead of just shaming the practice altogether.

My baby sleeps with my on my bed, I think as a mom you know what works for you. A lot of people are against it, I used to be one but this time it’s working for me. I sleep on my belly and don’t move in my sleep.

Me!!!!! I’ve co-slept with both of my children from day 1 ❤️ as a mom of 2 under 2 I’ve realized this is my new normal and because of it I can proudly say even with a 15 months old and a 2 month old that I get a good 8 hours of sleep a night

Sometimes yes .. when I fall asleep while nursing 🙈 so basically all the time 😂 but try not to.

Nope. Baby has slept in his crib in his own room since day 1. Exclusively breastfed. I choose to wake and nurse him in his room in the rocker whenever he needs some milk! I’m worried about falling asleep with him in my bed. No judgements against Co-sleeping at all. I think a lot depends on the kind of baby you have! Loads of snuggles and nursing sessions happen through the day and night for our little guy, he just goes back in his crib after! :) during the day he is in his pack n play, held, or baby carrier for naps!

My 2 month old sleeps in a co sleeper next to me. However my 1 year old co sleeps with my husband. I’m currently on the couch because every has different sleep schedules 🤷‍♀️

Co-sleeping as in sleeping in the crib in our bedroom? Yes, for at least the first 6 months and longer if possible. 
Co-sleeping as in sleeping in our bed? No. Not only is it a risk for SIDS and accidental suffocation, but it’s a hard habit to break when they’re older.
