Successful VBAC! Baby girl born 7-7-20

Britt

I had a successful VBAC! I was so worried about it, but it ended up being the best decision. I was induced at 39 +1 due to my GD. Because of the risks, the induction was a very slow process with monitoring the entire time. The induction started at 10 am on 7/6. The doctor placed a Foley balloon, then when it fell out and I was 4 cm, she broke my water. Low dose pitocin was started a few hours later. When contractions were unbearable, I had an epidural placed, which I do not regret in the least. I could still feel a lot and move my legs a bit. When I started feeling pressure, I called my nurse who checked me and it was time to push. She called the doctor in and she explained to me how to push and that it would probably take 1-2 hours since it was my first time. Solvi Magnolia was born at 3:30 am on 7/7/20 after only pushed for 7 minutes! Fortunately I had minimal tearing, just two stitches. We are home now and recovering well. Good luck mamas, you can do this!
