How can you tell the difference between mastitis or a breast abscess?

Abcess doesn't get better with antibiotics. I had one and had to have surgery, the antibiotics improved the redness but the giant ball didn't shrink not even a bit

Mastitis is generally but not always the whole breast, red swollen hot to the touch, fever, chills. An abscess is a fluid filled bump that could also be red in the area painful to touch, can also cause fever. Both require antibiotics and to be seen so I would say to get seen asap, so it doesn't get worse...
