What to do after getting married?

Question

Do I need to report to my workplace that I am married? Like, change my status from single to married? 
What else? 
I’m getting married next week and I’m trying to get everything ready and settle. Kinda nervous... 😰

You dont need to change your status at work unless you want less taken out from taxes through the year & be default most time end up owing since you’ll file jointly your next tax year. I don’t. I just claim it on my tax filing. 
Only if you’re changing your last name you will need to show proof of marriage. You’ll go to the social security office first with your certificate (once you get it) and then take the proof of change they give you & your certificate to the DMV. Once you get your new social & DL in the mail is when you’ll go to the bank to change it, call all your creditors, also give the new info to your job for HR. Anything legal or that is a form of ID like your passport or on your credit, must know of this change.
