Im 19 and i went to the gynecologist for the first time about a month ago because I kept getting BV and yeast infections for 6 months. I was prescribed metronidazole the first time then it came back and I was scared to go back to the family care physician so I went to the gynecologist. The staff was really nice but the doctor herself was overwhelming. She was quick and to the point, didn’t explain anything while she was doing it so it caught me off guard and I was too afraid to speak up and ask what she was doing or what she was examining for. Then she prescribed me the same gel and some medicine for the yeast infection. She also tested for STDs and usually I would get a call from the doctor whether it was negative or not. But her office has yet to call me about it. I’m going to call on Monday to make sure, but wow how do y’all find good doctors for this kind of stuff 🥺
