Letrozole didn’t work. Should next step be IUI?
Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to conceive for 2 years, and have been taking letrozole for one year.
It didn’t work for me. Did exactly 12 cycles.
My doctor now has asked me to get ultrasounds to check my tubes for blockages and also another sperm test my husband.
He said if the tests all look normal, next step is IUI.
I’m a bit confused and concerned. Seems like many people here have been trying other medications such as progesterone or metamorphine first if letrozole alone doesn’t work.. so I was surprised that my doctor suggested IUI as the next step.
Have any of you done IUI? Does this make sense? He is my doctor and I do trust him and his judgement. I’m sure he knows what’s best for me and my situation. But a part of me is just a little anxious about the whole thing. Would love to hear other people’s experiences if you’ve faced anything similar.
