D&C - cramping after

I had a D&C three days ago after an MMC. I’d had zero bleeding throughout the pregnancy and no bleeding leading up to the surgery. Had the surgery (was awake and just had painkillers + anti anxiety stuff to make me woozy) and tbh, even though they reassured me I’d be ok I still felt a lot and remember every detail (was told the anti anxiety stuff would make me forget it all).

Anyway, I was cramping quite a lot that day and bled. It was nothing heavy and barely any on a pad but there was a fair amount when I went to the bathroom/wiped. I stopped bleeding that evening and the next day just had a small amount of brown blood and it’s been the same since, just spotting brown. Today though I’ve been getting some really sharp ‘cramps’. They’re definitely in my uterus area and are sort of similar to period cramps but a lot sharper. They last about 10 seconds and come in waves - I have no kids but it is exactly how I imagine contractions to be and they’re painful enough that I gasp and have to stop what I’m doing. Should I be worried? Is this all normal?
