Jaw pain, clenched jaw

be

I have a retainer for keeping my teeth straight and I have to wear it at night still and throughout most the day even though I’ve had my braces off for a while due to the fact my teeth shift so easily because my jaw clenching. Before I would only do it when focusing on a task for a short amout of time (ex. Folding laundry, finding a movie, etc) but ever since my DV abuse and dealing with lawyers as judges and having the abuse I have started actually clenching my jaw constantly. I was close to death a few months ago at the hands of my abuser and I think it might be PTSD and being on edge. I have talked to my therapist about it but we haven’t met yet to do DBT therapy. The jaw pain has gotten intense that I started chewing on my cheek and tongue. Now I have burning tongue syndrome and dry mouth. It is taking over my mind and stressing me more. What is something that has worked for you, or you think will help with this problem I am having. My mom mentioned my retainer but I still clench even with my retainer and I do need to wear it already to keep my teeth straight. On Friday my back molar broke in half due to the stress impact. Please help me out here. I have great oral hygiene and have never had a cavity in my life ! I floss brush teeth and tongue and use a dry mouth mouthwash. I chew sugar free gum the majority of my day to help with jaw pain and what not but I still clench even when chewing it’s causing my life to go crazy
