Membrane sweep experience?

Hello mamas! 💗 We’re all so close 😁 I’m extremely excited and possibly considering a membrane sweep. What is your experience or even advice? Thank you 😊

Very uncomfortable and I felt so sick for the rest of the day and it was all for nothing. Got it done last Friday and no labor :(

I had one over a week ago and I’m 39 weeks 3cm dilated 100% effaced and still pregnant 🤣 just some cramping lost mucus plug but still waiting

My second I had one done and he was born within 24 hours of it! I was very overdue though.
I plan on getting another closer to delivery date or after 40 weeks if I make it that far again :) good luck!!

I had two! One 2 days before my due date, and one 3 days after my due date! I lost mucus with both, but ended up going into labor 2 days after the last one. Not sure if it was going to happen anyways or from the sweep! Cervical checks are already uncomfortable for me so honestly I didn’t really feel a difference between the sweep and check! Good luck!

I got one done last week, wasn’t as painful as i heard others say it is. Had some cramps after but still pregnant😅

I had one done around 39 weeks with my first pregnancy! Idk if I just have a high tolerance for discomfort but it didnt really hurt at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ unfortunately it didn’t send me into labor though. 
I’m 37.5 weeks with my second and planning on having another sweep at 39 weeks to see if it works this time 🤷🏻‍♀️ fingers crossed it does, as I really want to try for a VBAC!

Just had one done. FTM, 40 weeks today. I haven’t had any cervical checks prior to today, but I’m currently 3cm dilated and 80% effaced. Obviously, I don’t know if it worked yet or not, but I didn’t think it was painful at all - just a lot of pressure.
