Have you ever had bottom wisdom teeth removed ?

Have any of you gotten your wisdom removed? 
Have you had any complications because of it ? 
I keep hearing don’t take them out because they help you chew or whatever. My GD (general dentist) also recommended I don’t remove them unless they really hurt but the only hurt every now and than. They are practically coming out/standing sideways already 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

You may need a new GD, if they are sideways and give pain here and there they should be recommending a removal

I had mine out. No complications. Some people can leave them be. My dentist said it has to do with how much room you have in your mouth, if they’ll make your other teeth too crowded, if they’re growing in straight, etc.

I'm a dental assistant and I'll tell you that everyones different.
There's numerous reasons why we recommend removing wisdom teeth, but there's also lots of reasons why they might be fine if left alone.
Wisdom teeth don't offer a lot of chewing capability unless the upper wisdom teeth have erupted correctly as well. They're usually fine IF your mouth is big enough. If not, it will cause the other teeth to shift forward so they have room and can cause a slew of problems with your bite, gums (teeth that aren't straight are a lot harder to keep clean), etc.
Wisdom teeth are also incredibly hard to keep clean. 
Think of your jaw as a hinge, obviously in the back of a hinge there's less room than the front. Now think of trying to brush and floss them adequately when you have such limited space. So because they are harder to keep clean, it's easier for them to get cavities or have him issues around them. 
But I have quite a few patients that kept their wisdom teeth just fine, there are lots of variables and everyone is different. Go with what your dentist recommends and/or if you want to seek a second opinion don't feel bad about that.
There is the risk of complications with any surgery. Whether you do it under general anesthesia or do local anesthesia, it's still considered surgery. As long as you follow all post operative instructions afterwards, your chance of any risks like dry socket are very low.

If they re coming out sideways because you don’t have enough space, you should take them out. It could move your other teeth or become infected. 
Yes there are risks but it almost never happens. Wisdom teeth removals are done every day, it is a common and well known procedure. You shouldn’t worry. It is better to take them out early than later when your other teeth are been pushed, the tooth cracked, or you have an infection.

I had all of my wisdom teeth out. I was terrified but once they put you out you feel like you weren't even asleep. It's so fast. I had 2 infections after but both were easily treated with medications and have been fine ever since.

I got them out at the same time and had no problems. You need to keep them clean though. Who ever takes it out will give you after care instructions. Food will get stuck in the wholes for about a month until it closes. You use water and salt in a little sprayer to empty them. It’s super easy. Speak to a dentist if you have doubts

I had them all out over 10 years ago and no issues. My bottom ones were bothersome coming in but weren’t painful, the dentist said they probably would be eventually.

My mom is a dentist so I hear this all the time. Everyone is different. Most people get them taken out because they don't fit in their mouth. Therefore would cause a lot of pain because it's pushing all of your teeth, think braces. If they fit in your mouth with minimal pain (after they grow in) then you should be good. There's obviously risk with anesthesia, depending if you go fully under or not. But there are a lot of factors and most of those factors aren't very likely at all. Just talk all your options through with your doctor. Of you feel you need a second consultation do it. Hope that helps. ❤️😊
