I also experienced this yesterday. I’ve never had spotting this far in advance if my period, which is supposed to come Saturday. So, I’m not sure.

Yes it’s a real thing. No I didn’t have it. Also its pretty rare to have it.

I had implantation bleeding back in August. It came out in a huge blob of sticky cm tinged orangey tan & that was it. I got a faint positive 3/4 days later (?) but it ended in a chemical

Real Implantation bleeding is rare. It gets confused for post ovulation spotting or PM's spotting. If you're spotting in early Pregnancy it can be mistaken for that to. When it comes down to it it's incredibly hard to pin point what the source of the spotting is.
