How many days passed ovulation is significant to pregnancy ?

I calculated that I’m around 16 days passed ovulation, and I am 2 days late on my period. I am waiting a few days to see if my period comes, before I test. I’m really anxious! 
I also tested early with my first pregnancy. So I forgot this kind of stuff. 
Friday is my daughters  1st birthday

Implantation of the fertilized egg can happen as late as 12dpo.
After implantation, it takes 2-4 days after implantation for your body to start producing hcg that a pregnancy test would detect.
By 14-16dpo a pregnancy test should be accurate!
