Irrational fear?

I’m 25 weeks pregnant and my son moves non-stop. Like big movements all day long. I’m terrified that because he moves so much he’s gonna get his neck wrapped around the umbilical cord. I don’t know how to ease this fear. 💔

I have the same fear!! If he’s moving a bunch, I’m nervous... if he’s not moving much, I’m nervous... it never stops! 😩

I was born SUPER late with my umbilical cord around my neck. Had to be induced because of it but came out otherwise healthy and am now an electrical engineer. So I dont think it stopped me any!! Remember the cord is tethered from their belly to the placenta without a lot of room to get wrapped up anywhere. Also your baby has four limbs and a head to knock you with so they not even be rolling around as much as you think.

Kick counts helped to calm my anxiety. That way I could compare and see if movement had decreased letting me know that something was wrong.

My daughter had her cord wrapped around her neck twice 💜 we didn’t know until she was born. Everything turned out okay! She’s a healthy & happy 19 month old now. Try to stay calm about it. We’re almost there
