Weird periods

Hi everyone,

I got my IUD in March of this year. Every month my periods have been consistent and incredibly light. Well this month my period has been unusually long. Is it normal to have this kind of inconsistency the first few months? I know sometimes they start heavy and get lighter. Just never heard of the back and forth. Thanks everyone!
