Sorry so long lol

So Jerry is my outside cat that I have adopted. Our neighbors moved out and left him and a small kitten behind. The kitten now lives with another neighbor and is living the good life lol. Jerry on the other hand is very cautious of people but I don’t like people either so it works.

So last winter I was worried about him so he has a cat house under our front porch and is fed and watered daily. He no longer runs just because we come outside but we still can’t get closer than 8-10 feet to him, without him darting under the porch. He usually doesn’t stray far and hangs out in our yard most of the time.

I am pretty sure he/she is fixed because his ear is tipped. I would love to be able to get him comfortable enough to take him to the vet for shots and to make sure he is fixed. Any suggestions.
