I know there was a poll about potty training a month or so ago. For those that have started, how's it going?

We started today, and boy was it rough in the beginning. He literally held it from 10-1. I sat him on the potty every 30 minutes, and he would scream and get mad and was refusing to drink water. I eventually gave him diluted lemonade so he would drink something. But he never peed on the floor either. During his nap he must have let loose because in 2.5 hours he completely soaked his diaper.

After his nap he was like a whole new kid. He sat on the potty while my husband showered and started shaving. He wanted me to read him a book (we'd been trying in the morning to read books to distract him), and he didn't complain. We went to my parents' house for dinner, which he wore a diaper in the car. Stayed dry the whole way over there. First thing we did was try the potty there and he didn't complain. He started going upstairs himself when I told him it was time and by the time we left he was lifting up the lid for me. He even peed twice! And stayed dry on the way home.

We'll see what tomorrow brings, hopefully he'll still be in a good mood about it.
