Anyone else?

My baby will be 9 months old on the 25th and he still can't go to sleep by himself for naps or for bed time, is this normal? Anyone else in the same boat? :(
I still have to cuddle him until he falls asleep and then put him down. If I put him down awake or even drowsy he just has a meltdown.

Our son nurses to sleep for all naps. Bedtime, we've developed a routine. Sometimes he falls asleep, sometimes we have to do bedtime a couple times.

My son was the same up until about 3 weeks ago. Then I decided to start sleep training. It took about a week for him to fall asleep on his own for bedtime, and another week or so at nap times. All kids are different but if the status quo is a problem, you could always try sleep training. We used the methods from Precious Little Sleep.

We did the taking Cara babies course and he now falls asleep on his own at night and sleeps through the night, haven’t worked on the naps yet she says wait until nights are down. So well start naps soon

I was the same then I started sleep training with naps. I started with letting little one play little on the cot every day before bed so it’s not that scary. Maybe wanna try to do that first and start with naps and let cry for bit sooth and put it back. Having one snugly light blanket for naps help just keep an eye on them with it.

Same situation. My baby boy turned 9 months on the 3rd and I don’t see anything changing anytime soon. If we go somewhere he will fall asleep in the car seat and that’s about the only time he falls asleep on his own.

Same. Every kid is different. He is getting better but it’s still hit or miss so we just hold him until he’s asleep. Our daughter we could put down wide awake and she would put herself to sleep. She still does at 2yrs old. Don’t stress over it, just do what works for you.
