NIPT gender test accuracy??

So I did the NIPT test a few weeks ago and it said I was having a girl which is what I want bc I already have a boy! It seems too good to be true tho bc I really wanted it!! Is there any chance the blood test could’ve been wrong? I had it done somewhere between 12-13 weeks.

I had the same reaction. I have a boy and I really thought I was having a boy but we did a gender reveal and the powder was pink. I called the nurse to make sure and they said the test is pretty accurate lol

I asked my doctor about this today and she said she’s never seen one wrong and she trusts it more than she trusts an ultrasound to determine gender. Especially if you did it after 10 weeks.

It tests fetal dna in your blood it’s almost impossible to be wrong. If there’s male dna it’s a boy if there’s no male dna then a girl. I know how you feel after 2 girls I finally got my boy and I’m still in shock

I think it’s like 99.8%. At this point I hope it’s right, I’ve bought way too many girl clothes!

They are like 99% accurate. The only inaccuracy would be if you had the test done before a specific point in the pregnancy. My doctor said not to do it prior to 12 weeks but I have also heard not prior to 8 weeks. We did a private ultrasound a little before 16 weeks to just confirm the gender just to make sure!

Mine came back boy then had an ultrasound at 15 weeks just to confirm

I feel you ahah it’s tooooo good to be true after 3 boys that I’m having a girl, but my friend told me just accept Gods grace 🤎 God knew how much I wanted a girl!! Congrats!

If you got the blood test done then it is pretty accurate.
