Baby shower?

Question

Due in November. Was going to try to get my shower in between now Nd September. But looks like no one will take reservations. Slightly uncomfortable with a drive by: “hey drop off your gifts and leave please!!” 
Fees greedy. Are people having showers at all at this rate?

Probably not. Also due in November and I’ve been this debating a lot. I live in NJ where I feel somewhat comfortable having a party. I didn’t feel this way just a month ago but our numbers are getting lower every day. I would still feel guilty and selfish if someone got sick just because I wanted to have a party. It sucks since this our first but I don’t feel comfortable with a drive by one either, so tacky. My close family members are going to give me gifts regardless of a party anyways but I kinda still wanted to have one. Depends on how things change throughout next month but it doesn’t look like I’ll have one 🤷🏽‍♀️
