Am I crazy or was he wrong?

My husband and I have been fighting all night and it’s to the point where neither of us feel like we are wrong and I need advice on if I’m being over dramatic.

We have children and one of them is 4. He told her it was bedtime and to get into her bed then he walked downstairs. She went pee, gave me a hug goodnight and I told her to go brush her teeth. She said okay. A minute later I hear her screaming and him yelling at her. I go in there and ask what happened and he’s angry saying she doesn’t listen and she doesn’t respect him because he told her to get into her bed.

I told him to stop because I told her to go brush her teeth and then he STILL smacked her butt pretty hard in front of me.

Now he’s pissed off yelling at me saying he’s done with her disrespecting him and she should have just listened and went into her bed like he asked and then he would have let her to brush her teeth once she listened. But I was literally the one who told her to go do it and he’s saying it doesn’t matter because he told her to do something first.

I just told him to get out because I feel like that is absolutely ridiculous. What do you guys think? He’s making me feel like I’m completely wrong for being mad at him
