Do you believe in the saying “ Once a cheater always a cheater ?”

What is your opinion on that ? And do you believe people can / do change after they cheat and don’t do it again?

How do you trust your significant other after if you’re still with them ?

Sorry for the load of questions ladies, I’m just curious on your opinions on cheating.

I was cheated on 8 months ago, totally devastated and broke my heart when I found out he was talking to a girl behind my back, I called her from my phone & she told me nothing happened ( she put it on her kid and god but I didn’t know how to feel about that because of how hurt I was ) she also said he was saying he was single and having problems with his “ex “ ( me) . which is so crazy to me because I know I’ve been a great girlfriend since the day we 1st went out honestly, We’ve been together for 3 years and I never would’ve thought that would happen, I’m his 1st girlfriend and he’s always been insecure about himself when this all happened. He would always accuse me of cheating and saying that I wanted to be with other people. But it was him doing all the wrong things behind my back.... We broke up when it happened but now we recently gotten back together, our relationship is better than it use to be and he’s completely changed and doing well for himself and I believe we’re going in the right direction, it’s just me that’s scared & stuck in the past. But how do I trust him, how do I know he won’t do it again? Also how do I gain my confidence back?
