I've been stressing pretty much since the minute I found out I failed the one hour glucose test.

My midwife said at 180 for the one hour they typically cut off and just say you have gestational diabetes and don't even bother with the three hour test. She gave me the option to take it though my numbers were over that threshold. I opted to take the test simply because I didn't want to have it and it was a last ditch effort to avoid being diagnosed with it.

Yesterday I went and did the three hour test and though it wasn't as awful this time as last time, I did almost pass out after it was over and before I could get to a place to get food. The nurse gave me some soda and a cereal bar and that got me to a place to get food.

This morning the results are in and I'm so glad I didn't just let her diagnose me.

I passed with flying colors and I couldn't be happier.
