Has anyone had a home birth before?

If you have, please share experiences. Not looking for any opinions, just experiences if you've actually had one.

Personally I have not. But both of my close aunts have and they had fantastic experiences! They always say they were much more comfortable at home and that seemed to help with pain reduction. My midwife always says pain and fear go into a cycle together the more fear or anxiety you have the tenser you are that causes more pain. So if you can break the cycle in any way it will help!

I also have no but I thought about it. My friend had one and absolutely loved it. Said it was amazing. She had the tub in the living room and labored for 16 hours. 
The only reason I didn’t is because I don’t like my house lol we met with the home birth midwives and they kept saying “your house is your sanctuary”. But I don’t feel like that. 
So if you love you house and find midwives you really like it can be a great option!
