Should we go to the doctor ?? I’ve tried everything for this “diaper rash” but now I’m starting to think it’s like a chemical burn or something please help I’m a ftm

What did it end up being ? Just curious. My baby had similar 2 months ago. I breastfeed and my ped told me to stop having dairy as it was a milk protein allergy. It cleared right up.

Definitely go to the doctor. Looks like yeast which will just keep getting worse unless treated. I would also switch to just a wash cloth and water until that clears up but make sure you wash them in HOT water to kill the yeast. Give plenty of diaper free time to let the area air out and change diapers frequently. Make sure at night you are coating his bum in something like aquaphor to create a barrier from the acid in poop/pee. I would also have the doctor make sure there is no oral thrush, if that goes untreated the diaper area will keep getting a yeast infection. If you are breastfeeding, try a milk bath, it can be soothing and help with inflammation.

I uses Equate Athletes Foot Anti Fungal foot cream and then put vaseline over the top of it and that always helps my LO. You might also change wipes and diapers to make sure it's not that also. My son can only use the Sam's club fragrance free wipes.

You should call your ped. My babe had something similar on her folds. It turned out to be yeast. I believe monastat from the feminine care isle cleared it right up. But if you’ve changed diaper or wipe brands it could be something else. If you can’t contact your dr over the weekend, pharmacists can recommend something over the counter.
