Ovulation

Question- trying to number 3 and never used ovulation strips before. Wednesday and Thursday the lines start to get a little darker, yesterday at 5 PM the line is so close to positive the app recognized it as one. Today the line is lighter again and recognized as a negative. Does that mean I missed the LH surge in a test? If so when was peak time? Yesterday? Today is my predicted ovulation day. Thanks!
