Have you ever moved into an apartment by yourself?

Can you tell me how it went for you? Did you get lonely? Is there anything I should know before I do that?

I live by myself. I enjoy it. I'll admit it does get lonely sometimes that's why I'm getting a puppy. I've always had roommates even in college and never got along with most of them. Due to being slobs, eating my food, using my things without asking etc. I do better by myself. When I moved to the city I live in now 3 years ago, I had roommates the first year I lived here. They moved out and I searched for another one as part of the lease so I didn't have to pay the full amount of rent. Well turns out the landlords never did a background check like they were supposed to. Let her move in and come to find out she is a scam artist and has a criminal record with $20,000 in larceny and credit card fraud, etc. Because of her lies I lost everything I had and had to start from scratch. We were pretty much homeless because of her. Luckily I was able to find a friend that had rooms in their home available to rent until I got on my feet. After that incident I said I'd never get a roommate again. I did live with a guy I dated for a bit after that. He moved in with me at my new place. Worst decision. He was completely emotional abusive and almost physical. Luckily it was only a couple months and he has been out of my life for over a year or two now. Moral of the story don't get a roommate.

Check the bills before you sign up, you can do price comparisons online and make sure you can definitely afford it. 
Id rather live on my own than stay where im not being treated right. Its only lonely if you let it become lonely. Personally i love my own company, i can come and go as i please, i buy what i like, i watch what i want and i invite people over and theres no issues or disagreements.

Also before moving in make sure you double check how much rent is to make sure it's affordable and ask if it goes up every year. Most places rent goes up every year when you renew your lease. My last apartment before moving to this one went up $30 after a year. Also you want to check who their utilities are through, what bills you'l be paying, their rules of the apartment. There was a place I looked at a couple years ago that said overnight guests weren't allowed. I didn't like that. Check amenities. Mines have a pool, gym, clubhouse. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment. We have trails that take you along the lake that the complex overlooks. Feel free to message me with any questions.

I love living alone. It’s the best! I’ve had roommates, I’ve lived with boyfriends and fiancés, and nothing compares to living alone in my opinion 😂 ￼ now I am a mom, living with my six-year-old, which is great… I love my daughter, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that sometimes I’m nostalgic for simpler times where it was just me.
