When I gave birth to my first baby it was fairly traumatic. I had to be induced and ended up dilating from 4cm to 10cm is less than 5 minutes and ended up having a forceps delivery.

I ended up with a third degree tear and lots blood due to my uterus not contracting after the placenta delivered.

Can I add although this happened I LOVED my birth experience and I’ve never felt more powerful in my life.

I am now 13 weeks pregnant with my second baby and trying to do as much research as possible. I have a consultant app lined up and also an app with a senior midwife to discuss my first birth.

I also have a slight bladder prolapse from my first birth (do your pelvic floor ladies 😂) but it doesn’t cause me any issues.

I’ve got to admit I am slightly worried this could happen again although my recovery was quick and easy enough.

Has anyone experienced this and went on to have an easy 2nd birth or would a planned c section be the way forward 🤷🏻‍♀️
