Cleaning carseat

So who has the secret of cleaning a car seat?? My LO got sick in her car seat yesterday. We have the graco 4ever dlx. I washed the outside according to the manual but all the crevasses and stuff still smell. Ive used a butter knife with a Lysol wipe to try and get in them. Help appreciated
