when to tell the father

Please no judgement, I feel shitty enough as it is...: so I’m pregnant from a one night stand 🤦🏽‍♀️ I am 4 weeks along. (Bc failed) I’m scheduled for an ultrasound in two weeks. I’m not sure yet that I want to keep this baby but I would like to tell the father and get his input at some point. Do you think the sooner the better or should I wait until after the ultrasound? What would you do? I’ve known this guy for years but i haven’t talked to him at all since we hooked up.  Just looking for others opinions I guess.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I did tell him last night. we are not keeping the baby. He was supportive but very clear in the fact that he does not want a child as him and his ex have decided to try and work things out. I will not raise another fatherless child. I want my next baby to be born out of love and absolutely wanted. As for my other three children, I do believe that it would not be fair to bring this chaos into their lives after everything that they have been through this year, my focus needs to be on them. I’m heartbroken by the outcome of my carelessness but I do believe this is whats best for everyone involved and just the point I’m at in my life right now. If you don’t agree with abortion— please keep your opinions to yourself, I’m not asking for them. Yes I’m aware adoption exists but it is not something that I personally would be strong enough to do. Kudos to those who are!   Thank you to everyone who was kind in their words! It means so much 🤍

Oh that is so hard! Sorry that you are in this position! If this is a good friend, I would tell him now and get the support from him. If this is more of an acquaintance then I would wait until you confirm there is a heartbeats day everything. As to keeping the baby that is totally up to you. It is your body and you will have to care about the baby! I would see what his reaction is and how supportive he will be, but in the end you will be the one supporting this child, so it should be your decision!

I’m gonna be brutally honest, so when I was 16 I got pregnant too a one night stand my friend at the time. I told him and he pretended like his “phone broke” and left me high and dry for months. 
I ended up having an abortion as I couldn’t tell my parents and felt no choice but now at 28 and after one baby pregnant with my second I wish I kept that baby. Ultimately it’s your choice in the end. I would see where his head is at and if he is supportive I think keep the bub. I dunno it’s no one else’s place too say keep it or not but that’s my experience x

I think you should tell him ASAP! You never know the outcome or how he will feel about it all but he does have the right to know and you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror and know that you did your part. It’s difficult because it’s your body but there’s a hole other body involved too. With that being said, it’s just my opinion and whatever you decide is best for you is the right thing to do! Just think hard with your heart and soul and trust your instincts!

I think you should just rip the bandaid off girl, talk through the choices with him... see what his thoughts are on the situation. I read in the comments your already have a family that recently went through some big changes so I’m sure your going through a lot of emotions right now. I think the sooner the better to see how he reacts, but I have never personally been in this situation. Just know whatever decision you make after you tell him is the best decision for you, good luck girl ❤️
